Tour Poster

I decided to create a tour poster as usually when a band releases a new album they go on tour shortly after. I researched into other tour posters and found that converntionally the band names dominate the poster surrounded by a picture or logo and that the dates and locations are listed to the bottom of the page as it draws your eyes down after the main picture and text have caught your attention. I decided to use the picture I did as the face paint has connotations of metal linking to such bands as kiss and black viel brides.

Lyric Video

Today I found this video by producer Dylan Stienburg. The song is Bully by Shinedown and was created to bring attention to the song and advertise the new album released soon. I think this would be a great addition to my advertising campaign so have decided to create my own. My first thought was to do another atreyu song but I later decided to stick with honor deciding to re-enforce that as the single of my album. I will post throught its preduction and then the final product.

Second CD Cover

Taking from what id seem in my examples I first created the background finding a suitable colour then adding a mosiac effect making it fade toward the outer corners.

Next I added the bands logo and changed the effect on it so it would more suit the type of cover I am trying to create.

Finally I Added the album title finding a suitable font on dafont.com

Ipod/ITunes Photoshop

I have put my first CD cover into ITunes and also onto a IPod this is to demonstrate my photoshop skills and to practice for when I do my second cover and my magazine advertisement.
